HOW TO TAKE/RELOAD SRAM BACK UP THROUGH USB/PEN DRIVE IN FANUC CONTROLLER

First of all apply emergency stop 🛑 button in machine before doing below activity.

Power-off & Power-on the CNC. During power on press

buttons simultaneously until the IPL menu comes. 

 IPL Menu 

  

 0 : END IPL

 1 : DUMP MEMORY

 3 : CLEAR FILE

4 : MEMORY CARD UTILITY

 5 : SYSTEM ALARM UTILI

 6 : FILE SRAM CHECK UTILITY

7 : MACRO COMPILER UTILITY

8 : SYSTEM SETTING UTILITY

 12 : BATCH DATA BACKUP/RESTORE

STEP   2

ENTER 12 & PRESS INPUT

Enter 12 and press INPUT.

Then another Menu will come

   0 : END IPL

  1 : BATCH DATA BACKUP (CNC -> MEMORY CARD)

   2 : BATCH DATA RESTORE (MEMORY CARD -> CNC)

  11 : BATCH DATA BACKUP (CNC -> USB MEMORY)

12 : BATCH DATA RESTORE (USB MEMORY -> CNC)

STEP   3

NOW SELECT BACKUP/RESTORE OPTION ACCORDINGLY WHAT YOU WANT

·      Then select the option either BACKUP/RESTORE & press INPUT.

·      Then choose (0: NO or 1: YES) option.

·      Now your backup & restore will be complete. To come out enter 0: END IPL.

E.g. If you want to take back up in USB then you have to write 11 and press input then 1 and input .Your back up will be stored in USB from CNC.

Important Point: Always  read comment in () bracket.CNC -> USB MEMORY means you are  taking SRAM back up from CNC to USB memory.This facility is available on  latest Fanuc Series  after Oi-TF or  Oi-MF and above
