If you want to take plc.ard from siemens 828 d controller then you have to first read our blog How to take/Reload Back up in Siemens 828 d controller. When you reached at the point where we select all data from that point we change method of taking plc .ard.
Always remember Machine should be in emergency stop state.
You have to select Plc data as per below attached pic.
After that system will ask where you have to save data in USB/Flash card(User CF).You have to select your desired location.
In the below pic i have saved data in USB.
After selecting the location in USB you have to create the name of data as PLCData for your memory along with machine Serial No.
After creating the name you have to select OK button .
After Selecting & Press the OK button data will be stored in USB and the Message “Generate archive” will be displayed on the screen.
After completing the transfer of PLC data to USB message “Archiving has been finished successfully message will be displayed on screen.
For uploading the plc in machine you have to first put machine in emergency state and then select Read in archive and select plc data from USB.
